Accordingly, each word has a particular meaning in the sentence. It is therefore necessary to have a more accurate understanding of the Divine Word by researching the meaning of the words correctly. One word that has many meanings in the Holy Quran is the word “Ahd” (Testament), with its derivatives used 46 times in the Holy Quran and in the Bible about 300 times. In this study, the meaning of the word “Ahd” (testament) and its semantic circle in the Holy Qur'an are compared with its meaning in the Old Testament. The findings of this study indicate that the concept of “Ahd” (Testament) is not the same in the Quran and the old testaments, but there is a significant difference in this regard. برخی لغت شناسان بر این باور هستند که ترادف در قرآن، وجود ندارد. بر این اساس، هر واژه بار معنایی در سیاق جمله دارد. از این جهت ضرورت دارد با تحقیق و تفحص در معنای صحیح کلمات، درک و فهم دقیق تری از کلام الهی داشت. یکی از واژه هایی که در قرآن کریم معانی متعددی دارد واژه "عهد" است که با مشتقات آن 46 بار در مصحف شریف و در کتاب مقدس نیز حدود 300 مرتبه به کار رفته است. در این پژوهش معنای واژه ی عهد و دایره معنایی آن در قرآن کریم با معنای آن در عهدین بررسی تطبیقی شده است. یافته های این پژوهش، نشانگر آن است که مفهوم عهد، در قرآن و عهدین، یکسان نیست؛ بلکه تفاوت معنا داری در این خصوص وجود دارد. https://cis.quran.ac.ir/article_102549_8ec738ce478aef7ef5e2576d2cde1f49.pdf
