Abstract
Ayatollah Makārim Shīrāzī has mentioned and discussed extensively the opinions of Allamah Ṭabāṭabāī in his Qur'anic and Qur'anic exegetical [Tafsīr] works. This research, which was carried out using a descriptive-analytical method and with library tools, examined the approaches of Ayatollah Makārim Shīrāzī towards Tafsīr al-Mizān in areas such as: praising Allamah and Tafsīr al-Mizān, referring to the opinions and narrations in al-Mizān, affirming the opinions of Allamah, comparing the author of al-Mizān’s opinions with his own and others' opinions, making an objection and criticizing Allamah's opinions.
The most important approach of the author of “Tafsīr Nemuneh" to Tafsīr Al-Mizān; is a reference that is apparently observed in many cases, in his exegesis and also in his other Qur’anic works. Of course, most of his references to Tafsīr Al-Mizān are based on the method of interpreting the Qur'an by the Qur'an. Based on this, it can be said that Ayatollah Makārim was influenced by Allamah’s exegetical methods and opinions and significant volumes of his Qur’anic and exegetical [Tafsīr] works were written based on the method of interpreting the Qur'an by the Qur'an. Of course, he did not limit himself to quoting and affirming Allamah’s opinions, but sometimes he preferred his own opinion and that of others over Allamah’s opinion, and he also expressed opinions contrary to those of Allamah under many verses. In addition, he had objections and criticized some of his opinions, although in some cases, their opinions were the same but their differences were only in the expressions. Similarly, Allamah's opinion is sometimes correct while his criticisms do not have the necessary credibility, and sometimes his critical opinions are correct more preferable.
