God's promise to mankind is a common feature of all heavenly religions that can be discussed from different perspectives. One of the divine promises that has been addressed in the Old Testament and the Holy Quran is the issue of possessing the Holy Land or inheriting the land. In the Old Testament, God's promise to possess the Holy Land was raised by several prophets. Although this promise is not addressed as much in the New Testament as in the Old Testament, there are still references to the divine promise to possess the land. In the Quran, God also gives the righteous the good news of obedience, inheritance, and succession on earth. Many political conflicts between Jews and Christians in the land of Palestine go back to this divine promise in the Old Testament. Therefore, the present study uses descriptive, analytical and comparative methods to examine texts that refer to this divine promise in order to clarify the nature and truth of this promise in the Old Testament and the Holy Quran. The results of the studies show that in the Old Testament, there are many contradictions regarding the divine promise to possess the Holy Land. This promise was given to fifteen prophets and their descendants, but in such a way that there are fundamental differences and contradictions in the boundaries and instances of the Holy Land and the conditions for granting inheritance, and the approach of these texts is based on racism and is related to the idea of the chosen people. In the New Testament, the inheritance and possession of land has a missionary aspect and is closely related to the kingdom. In the Holy Quran, the inheritance of land has a moral approach and the only condition for inheritance is competence.
