Abstract
Given the significant expansion of communication, understanding the religious traditions of the followers of divine religions and comprehending the relationships between them is inevitable and forms one of the prerequisites for the approximation of religions. One of the common teachings of the Abrahamic faiths is the divine traditions (Sunnah), which function as universal laws governing human societies and the universe. Some divine traditions are conditional and dependent on human actions, and their effects become visible accordingly. In this study, only the conditional divine traditions specific to the faithful are analyzed comparatively across the three Abrahamic religions, with the aim of answering the question: What is the relationship (in terms of similarities and differences) between the divine conditional traditions related to the faithful in the Qur’an and the Bible (Old and New Testaments)? This research is conducted through library-based sources in a descriptive, comparative, and analytical manner, and so far, no similar independent study has been presented. It can be said that, due to the unity of the revelatory source, there is a significant similarity between the conditional traditions specific to the righteous in the three religions. However, the differences in direct and indirect references to these traditions can be attributed to the unique cultural contexts and circumstances of the followers of each of these Scriptures. For example, the Qur’an, with its use of the terms "Sunnah" and "Sunnan" and its numerous and direct references to the discussed traditions, holds a distinct advantage over the Bible. These traditions can generally be categorized into two groups: the increase of spiritual blessings, such as the ability to discern truth from falsehood, and the increase of material blessings, such as salvation from various individual and societal difficulties.
